As of today, Jake has become more and more attached, friendly and will dance and bark as soon as he spots me coming to bring food for him. When I open my car door, he will come and put his head on my lap. He also raises his paw, left and right, sits and then lie down so that I could look for any ticks or fleas. His weight had increased and his rib bones can no longer be seen. I have not found a loving home for him yet but according to someone who had been observing him, he will be safe there as he seems to know when to come out to the feeding spot and when to disappear.

He takes refugee under an old tank which is good enough to shelter him from rain. In the afternoon, he and Jackie lie down under the bushes near the feeding spot. Since SPCA KK has no shelter, I just pray that both Jake and Jackie can remain there until a better place and kind hearted person can be found for them. Of course while waiting for that to happen, that means I have to spend extra money, time and energy to go to there everyday to feed him and his companion: sacrifices well worth making in giving strays like them a second chance at life.
I just hope that more and more people will realize that strays like Jake and Jackie are not nuisance to anybody if only we know how to handle them. After all they are also God's creation, just like us and given better brains, we have the responsibility to protect them and know the purposes of their being.
