| :. Kiki's Story: Part III |
Meg gave Kiki cell food the second night after she took Kiki in while stopping all other medications. The following day, Kiki seemed to improve and stood up to walk and welcomed me with her witty smile when I visited her. We also gave her essence of chicken for 2 days as her appetite was poor. The days went by and Kiki improved further, gaining more and more energy. 2 weeks passed and we then we took her to SAMC again on Saturday, 9 May 2009 for her review. The results were very encouraging. Her blood and heart condition had improved tremendously over the 2 week period. Her heartg reading dropped from 68 to 24, a miracle indeed and also free of blood parasite. It was as if she had been given a new lease of life! Thank You God for giving Kiki another chance to enjoy the beauty of nature and getting the love and care she deserves.
Kiki has no 'house' or shelter of her own, so we decided to build her one! She is also given a rubberized mat and rug to sleep on in her 'house' which she prefers not to share with other dogs.
It is clear that Kiki is happy and well again. This can be seen from her energetic jumping and playing around with me whenever I see her and according to my friend, Kiki's 'aunty Meg', she responds every time she talks to Kiki.
I strongly believe, Kiki is back to life because she has her five freedoms, although she deserves more than that:
1. Freedom from hunger and thirst
2. Freedom from fear and distress
3. Freedom from discomfort
4. Freedom from pain, injury and disease
5. Freedom to behave naturally
And above all, she is loved by me and her aunty Meg.
